Zusammenfassung:
An einem bildlichen Modell wird die Entstehung der körperlichen Eigenwahrnehmung und -bewegung sowie des Körper-Selbst als Körper-Zeichenprozess veranschaulicht und aus der Sicht der Entwicklungspsychologie, der empirischen psychoanalytischen Säuglingsforschung, der Systemtheorie und der Semiotik begründet. Konsequenzen für die psychosomatische Therapie und die Medizinerausbildung werden aufgezeigt.

Summary:
A pictorial methaphoric model illustrates the emergence of both the physical perceiving and movement of one’s self and the formation of the body self. Reasons are given from the points of view of developmental psychology, empiric and psychoanalytic baby watch, of system theory and of semiotics. Conclusions are drawn both for the academic and the clinical trainings of physicians, and for the necessity of body-centered psychosomatic therapy.

Dr. med. Angela von Arnim
studierte Medizin an der MHH Hannover, Weiterbildung zur Internistin in Berlin und Nürnberg und zur Fachärztin für Öffentliches Gesundheitswesen in München und Erlangen. Seit 1993 Abteilung für Psychosomatik und Psychotherapie der Universität Erlangen, bis 1997 unter Leitung von Prof. P. Joraschky (jetzt Universität Dresden). Seit 1998 Fachärztin für Psychosomatik und Psychotherapie und Oberärztin der Abteilung. Ausbildung zur Psychoanalytikerin am IPN Nürnberg (DPG). Vorsitzende des Erlanger Weiterbildungskreises für Psychotherapie. Weiterbildungsberechtigte bei der Bayerischen Landesärztekammer für die Körperpsychotherapiemethode „Funktionelle Entspannung“. Forschungsschwerpunkte, Vortragstätigkeit und Publikationen zu körperbezogenen Therapieverfahren, besonders bei traumatisierten Patient/innen mit chronischer Schmerzsymptomatik, Körperbilddiagnostik, psychoanalytische Säuglings- und Bindungsforschung.

Angela von Arnim, M.D.
studied medicine at the MHH in Hannover, specialised in internal medicine and public health management. She has worked in the department of psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy of the university hospital for Psychiatry and psychotherapy since 1993, in 1998 she specialised in psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy and became the senior physician of the department and trained as a psychoanalyst. Her main research topics are body psychotherapy methods in the treatment of chronic pain, body image assessment, the development of theoretical models in psychosomatic medicine, and psychoanalytic attachment research in early development.
