Cologne-Aachen Gesture Colloquium


Interdisciplinary Colloquium on Gesture and Motion in Communication, hosted by the German Sport University Cologne and HumTec, RWTH Aachen University, in cooperation with the Berlin Gesture Center  
      

                                            

The Cologne-Aachen Gesture Colloquium focuses on gesture, motion, and movement behaviour in cognition and communication research. It is open to anyone who is interested. Starting with a workshop on “The Exbodied Mind”, the main topic during the summer term will be automatic gesture and motion recognition. The venue of the colloquium will alternate between HumTec in Aachen and the German Sport University in Cologne.

Directions:

HumTec, RWTH Aachen: HumTec is located in the center of Aachen, right next to the theatre, at Theaterplatz 14. It is only a 10-minute walk from Aachen Hauptbahnhof in the direction of the Aachen Dome.

German Sport University Cologne: German Sport University is located in the west of Cologne and very close to the “Rhein-Energie Stadion”. If you arrive at the Hauptbahnhof, take tram lines 18 or 16 to “Neumarkt” (two stops) and then switch to line 1 in the direction of either “Weiden West” or “Junkersdorf” and get off at “Junkersdorf”. The lecture room “Senaatssaal” is located in building II which is opposite of the student dormitory tower (the highest tower), ground floor.
